Resting in His Victory!

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:26-27

The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand. John 10:26-27 AMP

With much research and study it is conclusive that these words of our Lord were revealing the absolute truth of our eternally secure redemption in Him. That in and of itself is worth rejoicing over. As I was researching this word perish in the original Greek language one aspect of the word stuck out to me.

The word used for perish in Greek is the word apollumi. Thayer's Greek dictionary defines it as to destroy, to put out of the way entirely, render useless. Metaphorically to devote or to give over to eternal misery in hell. To perish, to be lost or ruined. One other aspect of the word was defined as to lose.
Obviously this word proves we are eternally secure beyond doubt. Jesus declared when we truly believe we will never perish or be given over to eternal hell or to be lost. True as that is, I focused momentarily on that last part. To lose. Is it possible one aspect of His redemption is we don't have to lose? Could it mean we win?

I submit to you emphatically YES! We are winners because of Christ. Look at these verses promising victory

Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ, 2 Corinthians 2:14a

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57

I had a visitation from the Lord Jesus Christ one time years ago. In that time of deep prayer and fellowship with Jesus He revealed to me that we win! There is no loss for the Christian! Even in death we get to spend eternity with Him. How is that a loss? We win! We can win in this life!
Trust in Him for complete total victory! He is the God of the turn around. He can turn any negative circumstance around for the good! Don't lose heart or quit. He is our victory. Read the back of the book we win! Celebrate!
Thanks so much for checking out this post. Leave a comment if its blessed you. Even if you disagree I appreciate the feedback, blessings.
